B&B Vol Liefde

Dutch TV success B&B Vol Liefde is already on its 5th (summer) season and the big question again this season is: which relationship will last in the end? B&B Vol Liefde is a TV show in which Dutch B&B owners abroad are in search of a new relationship. The series is an outright hit with more than 1 million viewers per episode feasting on the love stories, matching diaries, high-spirited arguments and lots of drama. A number of participating B&Bs has camping pitches, roulottes or glamping tents in addition to rooms. We have made an overview of those campsites and glampings for you. Lord of the castle Illya Rijnberg used to sell heaters, jacuzzis and food trucks until 2021 when he started something completely different: a bed and breakfast in a French castle. The born Zeelander (from Vogelwaarde) recently invested in several roulottes and suddenly qualified for our list of B&B Vol Liefde campsites and glampings. The caravan square is located at the bottom of the enclosed garden of the Château de Viviez.

While in Viviez make sure to visit Albi (1hr by car), which has just been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Make sure to see the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum, the Pont-Vieux, the Sainte-Cécile Cathedral and the banks of the Tarn.

The Moulin de Lacombe campsite is located in the village of Saint-Geniez-ô-Merle in a green valley through which the river Glane de Malesse meanders. Picture this: a terraced and small-scale campsite where nature conservation, simplicity and originality come first and where a swimming pool, a jeu de boules court and a cozy terrace will make your holiday an instant success. Saint Geniez O'Merle is located in the Corrèze, a region bordering the Dordogne and the Lot.

Meet Matthijs (Thijz) Koenen, the owner, who participated in the 2024 season of B&B Vol Liefde. Thijz gives courses in painting, fishing and beekeeping and loves a good pizza from his own wood oven. Over pizza Ammarie, Helena, Mariël, José, Yvonne tried to charm Thijz into a relationship, but alas.

In the lovely garden of Masia Can Portell you will find two completely hand-painted gypsy wagons and a small garden house. Can Portell is located in the beautiful countryside of Catalonia in a litlle village called Sant Andreu del Terri. The Masia (farmhouse) was built in 1690 and boasts a spacious garden with swimming pool. Hip and happening Girona (do the Game of Thrones tour!) is only fifteen minutes by car and the lake of Banyoles less than 12 minutes.

Owner Debbie de Jong participated in the 2023 season of B&B Vol Liefde. Candidates Paul, Cees, Erwin, Han and Harry visited Debbie and experienced her tasty Mediterranean dishes at first hand. Debbie and Paul got together after the TV series and (according to Shownieuws) split in 2024.

Away from all the hustle and bustle, slowing down, joint dinners, stargazing, becoming one with nature. That's Camping Le Domaine Vert, a domain with several gites, a yurt and 9 pitches. Troche is a little known village in the Corrèze. It is surrounded by lovely old towns, lakes and forests and is a great place for canoeing, fishing, cycling and walking. The Camino de Compastella passes here at a distance of approximately 30 km.

Walter Spangenberg is the happy owner of this little paradise and is an experienced trainer and coach. In season 2023 of B&B Vol Liefde Walter was introduced to candidates Anne, Claudia, Ingrid, Corina and Alexandra but could in the end not commit to any of these ladies.

Spotting wild animals on a Tuesday morning walk and foraging for edible plants and mushrooms in the woods on Wednesday? That’s a vacation at Heimdalls Gård. The farm is located along a bumpy road in the middle of the Swedish forests, where owner Bram Eijgenhuijsen takes you on a course to show where food really comes from.Was this Swedish self-sufficient lifestyle also something for the B&B Vol Liefde candidates? In the 2023 season, contestants Madelon, Yamie-Lee, Suus, Carolien, Anna, and Jasmin visited Norrhult, but in the end, Bram fell for Esra (or was it the other way around?). Villa Tipi Algarve near Portimão (Portugal) featured in season 2022 of B&B Vol Liefde. Owner Richard van der Meulen emigrated to Portugal in 2020, initially buying an old farmhouse, but running a campsite in the sun was his ultimate dream. And of course, a nice girlfriend would make it even more fun. None of the B&B Vol Liefde candidates (Simone, Claudia, Gerry, Maureen and Esther) stayed and eventually Nanette visited with a friend. Nanette did stay and together they now run the campsite with many pets including as many as 8 dogs and 12 ducks.

Horse riding centre Du Passe Temps is located in the Lot, a few minutes from Gourdon and only 45 minutes from the provincial town of Cahors where a large flea market (brocante) is held every Wednesday on Boulevard Gambetta in summer. The old farmhouse with campsite has a lovely garden and the surrounding meadows are great for walking, cycling or horse riding. The Lot and Dordogne rivers are also great for canoe trips or a refreshing dip.

Owner Hans Vroom is a professional guide and riding instructor and offers guided horseback riding tours as well as weekly lessons in his riding arena. Hans participated in B&B Vol Liefde in 2022 and welcomed Petra, Yovan, Daisy, Anne Marie and Marion to his riding school. Fancy meeting Hans one day?
