Campsites known from TV

Campsites at home and abroad are increasingly popular as a backdrop for a television program. Glampings and hip pop-up campsites are doing well with beautiful tents, food trucks and musical performances. While other shows focus on the entrepreneur and setting up a new campsite or breathing new life into an already existing holiday park. Not infrequently, well-known TV personalities receive the guests (like Dutch singers Nick & Simon) or (help) set up the campsite, such as Belgian TV personalities Staf Coppens or Tijs Vanneste. Below our top 5 TV campsites

Staf Coppens and his wife Monique opened the Camping Grinsby on the beautiful Stora Bör Lake in Sweden in the Belgian VTM reality show "Camping Coppens". With the extra help of mother Agnes, brother Maarten and friend Inez with her husband Richard, the campsite is quickly made ready for the first guests to arrive. The campsite has several BBQ places, no restaurant, but a small grocery store 10 km away. So rightly so: back to nature.

In the same VTM series: De Kemping with Tijs Vanneste

Glamping De Parel is the location where the Dutch TV program In De 3 Sterren Camping is recorded. Well-known Dutch people go on a retreat for a day, where Nick, Simon and Kees will host them during their entire stay. There is time and space for relaxation, fun and music. The short break is intended to escape the crowds and to look back on the turbulent past year. The day ends musically around the campfire. The entertainment show of AvroTros is broadcast by the Dutch NPO. De 3 Sterren Camping is "located" on Glamping de Parel in Zeewolde, not far from Harderwijk.

The hit Channel4 TV show follows British families going abroad to fulfill their dream in France, Greece, Spain, Italy and Central Europe. Many have started camping or glamping and enjoy their adventure every day. One of them was Kerry Roy who "starred" in A New Life in the Sun 2021. Her Cerchio Del Desiderio (Glamping Abruzzo) is located in pretty little Pianella among olive groves and with a great view of the Gran Sasso mountains. Pescara is only 20 minutes by car. The AvroTros hit program 'Ik Vertrek', which is broadcast on the NPO, has been offering for more than 20 seasons (since 2005) a look behind the scenes at Dutch families who go abroad to realize their dreams. Undercover fans will search in vain for the chalet of drug lord Ferry on the Blauwe Meer in Lommel. His house on the Belgian campsite from the Netflix series 'Undercover' has since been demolished.
