How about combining your camping holiday with a real work-out and the largest festival in the Netherlands?
The 107th Four Days Marches (Vierdaagse) will be held from 15 to 18 July 2025 in and around Nijmegen. 50,000 participants from more than 70 countries will walk 30, 40 or 50 kilometers for four consecutive days. Every day the route is different and winding through the beautiful wooded, hilly and agricultural landscapes of the Dutch provinces of Gelderland, Brabant and Limburg. The finish is on the St. Annastraat in Nijmegen, which for this event has been renamed Via Gladiola where - when the full distance is completed - participants receive flowers (gladiols) from their supporters and the Four Days Marches cross from the organization.
During this week, the Vierdaagsefeesten are held from 12-18 JUly 2025 with artists and musicians from all over the world who gather in the center of Nijmegen to perform and entertain. In the past years more than 1.5 million people visited one or more of the festival days to enjoy the many events together, listen to open-air concerts, watch the fireworks on the Waalkade or participate in Pink Wednesday where acceptance and diversity being central. For children there is a special children's walk (2-3 km) through the center of Nijmegen, including famous places such as the Kronenburg Park.
