The Istrian peninsula represents the perfect combination of culture and nature, which is precisely why local markets can be found in every corner of this region. From the stone town of Pula to the Umag market. If you want to feel the true spirit of the city, the best place to do it is to visit the city market. In Istria you will find many different markets, including fresh, farmers, flea and antique markets. The markets are very extensive and varied. From leather goods, jewelry and souvenirs to delicacies and fresh products from the local farmers.

Daily and weekly markets:

  • Daily: Poreč (fruit and vegetable market in Trg Rakovca square), Rovinj, Umag
  • Monday: Poreč (farmers market in the heart of the city from Monday to Friday), Buje, Pula (also Friday)

Monthly Markets:

Here local farmers come to sell the fruits of their land and merchants who sell clothes, accessories and household items.

  • Barban: 2nd Saturday of the month
  • Buje: 1st Wednesday of the month
  • Buzet: 1st Friday and 3rd Thursday of the month
  • Labin: 3rd Wednesday of the month
  • Motovun: 3rd Monday of the month
  • Rovinj: last Friday of the month
  • Vodnjan: 1st Saturday of the month
  • Svetivinčenat: 3rd Saturday of the month
  • Višnjan: last Thursday of the month
  • Žminj: 2nd Wednesday of the month

Antiques Markets:

If you are looking for a nice selection of books, coins, vinyl records, art, et cetera. then a visit to an antique market is the ideal choice.

  • Pula: from August 1 to September 15, antique and art market in the center
  • Poreč: antique and art market every Friday in Rade Končar Street or Viale
  • Oprtalj: every second Sunday of the month May to October antique market.
