Markets in Marches

As elsewhere in Italy, almost every town or village in the Marche has a lively food market. The weekly and sometimes even daily streetmarkets are often held on the main square or along the river. Nowhere will you find more atmosphere, emotion of colorful Italian life than on the market. Farmers, butchers, winegrowers and market stall holders from the area sell their fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, fragrant cheeses, tasty porchetta roulade and other local delicacies here. In the more general markets you will also find a lot of clothing, shoes, fabrics and household products. Bring cash, a large shopping bag and wander around, buy a nice hat, a souvenir or a pair of slippers. Taste that peach or fig, enjoy the smell of fresh arugula and take the time for an espresso or aranciata on a terrace along the side.

In this blog we not only tell you where in Le Marche the weekly food and flower markets are, but also where the best flea and antique markets are located and a few insider tips; special markets during wine festivals, truffle markets or monthly markets where artists and craftsmen sell their collection.

Enjoy an Italian market? We list the markets in the Marches for you.
