Melt Festival is one of the biggest open-air electronic music festivals in Germany. It is a rock, electronic, and pop festival that exists within the imposing grounds of the Ferropolis; a museum of titanic mid-20th-century industrial machinery which is located just outside of Gräfenhainichen, Germany. The Grape Festival was founded in 2010 by a party of friends, aiming to gather around 2000 people for a small-scale cosy summer weekend. After they have booked Norway's Röyksopp, The Subways and Parov Stelar, the path of the festival took another turn than originally intended. Later in the making of the festival, the location moved to the Airport Piešťany which happened to be one of the event’s trademarks.
