A staycation is, as the name says, a holiday where you don't have to travel. Maybe a small car ride and then you are there. The English also call it a holistay or a daycation. And say it yourself, have you ever been in the Scottish Highlands, visited the market-towns around London or the lake District around Haystacks? When was the last dive in the Irish Sea or that bike ride through the Cotswolds or the hills of Brecon Beacons? The possibilities in your own country (nearby England, nearby Scotland, nearby Wales, nearby Ireland) are endless, such as nature and swimming pools, visits to local parks, regional museums and local attractions, small and large amusement parks and our national nature parks.
