The top 10 beach clubs in Rome are spread over the beaches of Lido di Castel Fusano, Lido di Ostia Levante, Lido di Ostia Ponente and the stylish beach of Fregene. The beaches are easily accessible by car, bicycle or public transport (train, bus) and the beach bars often have private parking spaces. By train or metro (MEB1) you're there in 45-50 minutes from Roma Termini and can exit at the stations of Castel Fusano, Ostia Stella Polare or Ostia Christoforo Colombo. If you stay at Camping Roma Capitol in Lido di Ostia, you can easily cycle to the beach.

Bud Beach is located on the southernmost Cancello (public) beach. The 8 Cancello beaches are sandwiched between the Castel Porziano Estate and the Tyrrhenian Sea. From the parking lot of Settimo Cancello (also nice) or Cancello 8 you can walk through the dunes to the beach. Bud Beach is nice and quiet, has a hip bar with nice coffee and sandwiches and a beach volley and beach tennis court.
Cancelli Resort - Castel Porziano is the public Cancello 2 beach. The beach bar has hip white sofas, DJs on weekends and holidays, beach volleyball fields, miss elections… .Rome at its best. Feel like kiting? Kitesurf Roma is next to Cancello 2. You can take lessons (a few hours or a whole course) and also rent equipment.
The beaches of Castelfusano lie along the Riserva Naturale Statale del Litorale Romano nature reserve. Il Controvento is located in Fregene, originally a historic fishing village just north of Rome Fiumicino. Beautiful beach club with Mediterranean decor with lots of wood and whitewashed walls. The organic restaurant serves Tuscan agglione, Roman artichokes and courgettes, pumpkins, onions, strawberries, aubergine from the nearby Agro farm. Beach club Controvento has lovely sunbeds and 4 professional beach volleyball courts. Nearby is the Macchiagrande nature reserve and the monumental Fregene pine forest.
A little further north from Controvento is Singita Miracle Beach. This is “Rome meets Goa Beach meets Ibiza”. Singita is an innovative and cool beach club and attracts its clientele from the world of culture, film, entertainment and sports.
