Book your glamping stay at the 4-star campsite L'Orangerie de Beauregard, set against the backdrop of the family castle Beauregard in the Loire Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its exceptional beauty and heritage. L'Orangerie de Beauregard is situated between the culturally rich Blois, Tours, Le Mans, and Orléans. People with disabilities can access all facilities. There are activities that will appeal to both children and adults. From heated swimming pools to multisport facilities and children's forest activities, there's something for everyone. If you enjoy exploring by bike, you can rent the necessary equipment at the campsite and see what the area has to offer. The campsite is on the St. Jacques de Compostella pilgrimage cycle route, which runs from Holland to Santiago, Spain. You can play tennis, badminton, and petanque. There are many Loire Valley castles nearby, including the Royal castle of Amboise, where Leonardo da Vinci was laid to rest.
English lessons are available at the campsite's kids' club for children aged 4 to 10. If you enjoy horseback riding, there is a nearby equestrian centre. Watersport enthusiasts will be able to go canoeing, and hikers will have access to over 37 kilometres of public footpaths.
You can choose between pitches and rentals at L'Orangerie de Beauregard. There are 150 pitches in the 5 ha area, as well as an additional 48 ha to explore at your leisure, on foot, bike, or horseback. The pitches are at least 120 square metres in size. Except for the Simple Pitches, all have electricity and water and can accommodate 2 to 6 people. Pets are permitted in all pitches. If you want a simpler camping experience, select Simple, Classic, or Classic Camping Car Pitch. Choose Double Classic Pergola with a pergola, Double Premium Pergola with a pergola, BBQ, garden furniture, and a fridge, or Premium Pitch with BBQ, garden furniture, fridge, and a parasol for added comfort. At the campsite, there are three different types of unusual glamping rentals. You have the option of booking a Glamping Barrel without a private bathroom or a Glamping Barrel with a private toilet. They can sleep up to four people. Or a 5 person Glamping Cabin with electricity, water connection, a BBQ and a picnic table, beds and bedding provided, but no private toilet.
This campground provides a variety of food options for your convenience. Every morning at 8.15 a.m., fresh bread and pastries are available in the milkbar. The milkbar is a great place to sit and talk over coffee or ice cream. Do you need to buy some necessities? Visit the campsite's mini-market, which is stocked with regional products and wine. The Stables is a restaurant that serves hearty home cooking at a reasonable price. Fresh produce and local products are used. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available. The Snack Shack is open Tuesday through Sunday and offers wholesome and fresh food as an alternative to a restaurant. Orangerie Bar is open Monday through Sunday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Tuesday through Sunday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. In the high season, wine tastings are held on Fridays at the campsite castle. During the peak season, a Monday night market opens at 6.39 p.m., where you can order pizza and wine. During the high season, a beer truck with regional beers visits the campsite every Wednesday.
If you get hungry while exploring the area, Restaurant La Guizarderie (5.8 km) will greet you with a romantic setting in the French countryside and the most delicious food. Aux Montécalvétiens is the place to go for crepes (9.3 km).
The Loire Valley is well-known for its castles. Blois castle (40 km) was built in the Middle Ages and 17th centuries.
The castle in Chaumont-sur-Loire (30 km) is open all year, but between April and November, don't miss the International Garden Festival. Chambord, Cheverny, Amboise, and Chenonceaux are all charming castles; Chenonceaux is built on water, and Amboise houses Leonardo da Vinci's tomb. This neighbourhood has museums that are both educational and entertaining. If you're in need of some magic, Robert Houdin's House of Magic (40 km) will greet you with a six-headed dragon peering through the windows. House of Comics (40 km) is a comic book lover's Louvre. An annual festival, dubbed "France's Leading Free Comic Book Festival," takes place in late November. The Leather and Tannery Museum (7 km) displays tools and machines used to create leather works dating back a century.
Bring your kids to the tree climbs and zip lines at Gadawi-Park Adventure (37 km) or the amusement park at Papéa Parc (98 km).
The city of Le Mans (88 km), famous for hosting the world's largest automotive event, Circuit 24 Hours, is a must-see for all automotive enthusiasts. Even if you aren't interested in cars, the city has a lot to offer. Arch of Nature (94 m) will appeal to both children and adults who enjoy gardening. On-site, there are numerous educational and entertaining events. Musée Vert (94 km) is another good place to bring your children to learn about the natural world. It houses over 450 000 scientific specimens. The Royal Abbey of Epau (84 km) is a Historic Monument that was established in 1922. It is now practising permaculture gardening and welcomes visitors to tour the grounds. Le Mans' Jardin des Plantes has a regular garden, a rose garden, and a terraced mall planted with several rows of lime trees, as well as a landscaped garden with renovated winding paths leading to a pond. During the summer, there are free concerts.
