Dormio Resort Eifeler Tor (formerly Landal Eifeler Tor) is located in the middle of a hilly area with beautiful views of the river Rur. In the summer you can enjoy walking, cycling and sailing or sailing on the Rur. Heimbach, Monschau are picturesque and cosy towns and the beautiful Aachen (with its beautiful cathedral) is within driving distance. If there is snow in the winter, you can go cross-country skiing or skiing just over the Belgian border. The Dormio Park in Heimbach has a beautiful outdoor pool, an indoor pool (heated and open all year), a children's pool and various wellness facilities including a sauna, steam bath, massage on request (for a fee) and a whirlpool. The Eifel National Park is the 14th National Park in Germany and the only one in North Rhine-Westphalia.
