The Delta Works, one of the Netherlands' engineering marvels, is a series of dams, barriers, and storm surge barriers designed to protect low-lying areas from flooding. The Brouwersdam, which connects the islands of Schouwen-Duiveland and Goeree-Overflakkee, is the closest part of the Delta Works to Brouwershaven.
