Camping El Escorial

Camping El Escorial is located in the heart of a forest of protected hundred-year-old oak trees, close to Madrid and the beautiful historic city of Escorial. On the program: sunbathing, swimming in the large swimming pools, and sliding down the crazy water slides! All the Top Presta mobile homes are air-conditioned and fully equipped with all the utensils. 

The campsite offers different types of accommodation to match the most demanding guests. You can choose from camping pitches, bungalows, and mobile homes. Pitches are located in a lot of shade, have electricity, and are suitable for tents, caravans, and motorhomes. All the rentals are fully-furnished and equipped with all the necessary items you may need during your stay.

For children, there is a BoeingLand which includes 4 majestic bouncy castles: a large castle suitable for small children, a large inflatable slide of 5 metres, an 8 metre long track with obstacles for the little ones; and a gigantic obstacle course of 18 metres with obstacles and slides. There is a paddling pool with a snake water slide, for children younger than 6 years. 

There is also a colourful, playful paddling pool, ideal for children younger than 3 years. 

For sporty campers, there is a sports ground, a petanque field, table tennis tables, and a football field. 

There are 3 swimming pools, one of which is heated. Swimming pools open from 11am to 8pm. The unheated pool is open until 05/09, the heated pools and slides until 19/09 (subject to weather conditions). 

The camping is equipped, so you do not even have to leave the venue if you do not want to. They have a bar and a mini market for your everyday needs. However, if you decide to wander around, go to the Spanish restaurant Las Viandas (7,3 km), or La Cueva (7 km).

Explore the monastery of El Escorial (8 km), and the castle of Manzanares el Real (28 km).

Enjoy the typical architecture and discover the mythical fountains of Cibeles, the Plaza Mayor, or the Royal Palace while staying in Madrid's neighborhood. Take a stroll through the magnificent gardens of Casa de Campo, Retiro Park, or Madrid Rio, and go hiking in the Angostura Valley or Las Carcavas area. Feeling active? Set sail in Valmayor's waters! Finally, you can learn about Madrilean traditions and Flamenco while eating some of Madrid's (52 km) most traditional and creative tapas!

If you are a nature lover, visit the Regional Park of Cuenca Alta del Manzanares (30 km). It is the largest natural space protected area in the Community of Madrid, as well as one of the most ecologically and scenically valuable. It is located in the northwest of the region and stretches 42,583 ha around the upper course of the Manzanares River. This is an ideal getaway to reconnect with nature, to leave the city and travel to higher ground, fresher and cleaner air, to reach the Sierra de Guadarrama. This natural space has areas of great botanical singularity. Its most notable forests are the birch of La Pedriza, the alcorn grove of Sierra del Hoyo, the enebral of Hoyo de Manzanares, and the juniper grove of Becerril de la Sierra, as well as the mountains of El Pardo and Viuelas, which are home to some of Europe's best preserved holm oak pastures. In terms of fauna, approximately 300 species have been classified, some of which are endangered.
