The campsite is located just a stone’s throw from the most beautiful sandy beaches of the Costa Dorada in Catalonia, in the small city of Cambrils. A perfect place to enjoy local Spanish culture, gastronomy and enchanting nature. It is convenient for watersports enthusiasts, families with small children, and couples seeking a romantic getaway near the Balearic Sea. Take a cool dip into the sea or enjoy the on-site water park with swimming pools for adults and children, as well as exciting water slides. Camping Joan provides various types of accommodation: mobile homes, bungalows, apartments and pitches. Choose from smaller pitches in the shade of mulberry trees for tents or bigger ones for those travelling by caravan or camper van. All pitches have electricity, drainage and water. 

The mobile home has a modern and elegant interior, a spacious layout with a dining area, a bedroom and a private bathroom. You can cook in your own fully equipped kitchen and share a meal on a covered terrace with a set of outdoor furniture. Camping Joan also offers various bungalows in all shapes and sizes. From roomy bungalows for six people to cosy bungalows ideal for couples. For a little more luxury, book one of the fully equipped apartments opposite the beach. Some of the rentals have a private BBQ facility.

The campsite has a spectacular swimming pool complex consisting of a wellness area and two swimming pools with waterslides. Spend your day with a good book in hand on comfortable sunbeds under the umbrellas just by the pool. The animation team will make sure you will not get bored here, as many activities are organized in and around the pool, such as water aerobics, water games, evening shows, etc. Try their fitness centre, tennis and padel courts, volleyball court, and boules court. The youngest guests are invited to a mini club or to spend the day in a children’s play area. The area is surrounded by many scenic hiking and cycling trails. For your convenience, the campsite has a bike rental.

The holiday village has every facility to make your stay as carefree as possible. You don't have to leave the campsite for a tasty dinner, as two on-site restaurants serve the Mediterranean, seafood, pizza and local cuisine with a sea view. Enjoy the panoramic views with a glass of fine wine in your hand. Fancy something exclusive? Try a few restaurants around the campsite: Catalunya Restaurant is only a few minutes walk from the campsite. A little further, there is the well-rated Sonia Restaurant (4.5 km), offering European cuisine. An on-site market is stocked with everyday necessities. 

The campsite is located 3,5 km from Cambrils city centre, reachable by foot or by bike, which is available at the bike hire service on the campsite. The area is full of possibilities and beautiful Mediterranean vegetation. There are breakwaters in the sea in Cambrils, so the place is perfect for fishing. Visit the neighbouring city of Salou (10 km), also known as a golf paradise. Reus’ (15 km) modernist city centre with a large commercial offer, is a must for architecture fans. Tarragona (24 km), a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a true historical landmark with endless sites, such as the Tarragona Amphitheatre, restaurants, shops and long beaches. 

Muntanyes de Prades, a natural preserve, is only 53 km away from the campsite and if you are there, don’t forget to stop by the fascinating El Poblet Monastery, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Delta del Ebro Natural Park is only 67 km away and offers a breathtaking view of the nature of the region. Tortosa (70 km) is also one of the must-go destinations. If you are keen on a little longer trip, you must visit Barcelona (116 km) with its interesting history, picturesque landscape and endless fun. 

Looking for some real fun with your family? One of the biggest theme parks in Europe, Portaventura and FerrariLand, is only 15 km away from the holiday village. If the pool complex at the site is not enough, you can always immerse yourself in the excitement of the Aquopolis Costa Dorada water park, only 18 km away.

The closest international airports are Barcelona (105 km) and Reus airport in Tarragona (21 km). From Barcelona airport, there are buses that go to Tarragona every few hours. Keep in mind that you will need to change for a bus in Cambrils. For your convenience, there is a bus station there.
