Port Aventura is a top amusement park for a day out. And of course, a day trip to Barcelona (100 km) should not be missed. Visit the Sagrada Familia, the Gothic Quarter, the Ramblas, Camp Nou, Tibidabo and the Olympic Port. Tarragona is within cycling distance. The Roman excavations in the city are on the UNESCO list, including the Roman comitium, the Amphitheater of Tarraco, the Roman circus and the Roman aqueduct (El Pont del Diable or Devil's Bridge). Salou is only 15 km from the campsite, has a nice beach and many restaurants and shops.
