Welcome to the stunning West Jutland, where the Nymindegab family campsite is located and where the distinctive beauty of the region extends all the way into the square. Numerous sports, including a myriad of cycling and hiking trails on recognised trails, are encouraged by the area's exceptional location by the fjord and the sea.
The region is home to ancient cities, Viking museums and artefacts, the three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the breathtakingly picturesque Danish West Coast, and its national parks.
Families can enjoy services and programmes for entertainment at Camping Nymindegab in southern Denmark.
The five distinct types of cabins range in size from 10 to 32 square metres and may accommodate 2, 5, or 6 people. Each cottage has a kitchen and an outdoor patio with a unique setting and views. There are bathrooms in the larger cabin, which can accommodate 5, and the six-person cabins.
Comfort pitches can be up to 140 sqm while standard pitches are between 80 and 100 sqm. You can pitch a tent or bring your caravan here. The pitches have drainage, water connections, and 16 amp electricity.
You and your family can participate in a variety of activities while camping in the South of Denmark, including padel tennis, mini-golf, a children's playground, and a large waterpark with a heated outdoor swimming pool and water slides. Outside the campsite, there are routes for mountain biking and hiking.
It's helpful to look at their event calendar because the campsite hosts games, creative workshops, and parties.
For your daily grocery needs, the campsite is furnished with a minimarket and a communal kitchen space.
You may try out several fantastic restaurants in the vicinity. Superb customer service, a sizable children's playground, and excellent beer can be found at Lønne Familie Restaurant (4.3 km). The food at Cafe & Restaurant Strandgaarden (17 km) is delicious, and the portions are very big. Visit the Il Mandolino restaurant (16.7 km) if you're in the mood for some Italian food. The tastiest pizzas and pasta dishes may be found here. It is advised to make a table reservation if going during the summer.
If there are any UNESCO sites on your bucket list, you may check off three of them in Jutland. The Wadden Sea National Park (93.5 km) is a distinctive natural reserve and one of the top ten tidal flatlands in the world. There is nowhere else in Denmark where you may see 10–12 million migratory birds in total during the spring and fall.
The central location of the town's Viking rune stones is at Jelling (90.7 km). The top of the 70-meter-diameter, 10-meter-tall barrows offers a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. A wooden tomb that was likely built by King Harald Bluetooth for his father and afterwards reinterred in the church was found in the northern barrow.
The distinctive town of Christiansfeld (121 km) is a singular illustration of a persistent cultural tradition. Christiansfeld was and continues to be distinctive due to its rectilinear straight streets and massive church located in the city's centre. In addition to being the only Danish city with this characteristic, Christiansfeld is also the best-preserved city of its kind in the entire world.
The oldest town in Denmark is Ribe (72.2 km), which was founded in 710 AD. Each of the well-preserved houses, the cobblestone narrow lanes, and the inscriptions reveal a different aspect of the rich heritage. In the old town's streets, one can still sense the presence of the medieval era. The first week of May is when the International Viking Market is held.
The amazing Lego house and the original Legoland in Billund (67.2 km) are unmissable attractions that allow both kids and adults to feel playful.
On JetCamp you book directly with the accommodation or operator. The prices and conditions (down payment, change, cancellation) for booking a pitch, mobile home, or other accommodation may vary per accommodation. The rates fluctuate every year and are, of course, lower in the low season than in the high season.
Billund Airport is 71.3 km away. It is recommended to rent a car.
