One of the main draws of Camping La Liccia is its proximity to some of Sardinia's most beautiful beaches. The stunning La Liccia beach, a long stretch of fine white sand lapped by crystal clear waters, is just a short walk from the campsite. Swimming, sunbathing, and watersports such as snorkeling and diving are all popular activities on the beach. If you prefer peace and quiet, there are several secluded coves and hidden bays along the coastline where you can do so.
Santa Teresa Gallura is also an excellent base for exploring Sardinia's stunning landscapes. The town is located on the island's northern tip, overlooking the Strait of Bonifacio, which connects Sardinia and Corsica. From here, you can take a boat to the stunning Maddalena Archipelago, a collection of small islands and rocky outcrops with beautiful beaches and crystal-clear waters. The archipelago is a marine protected area with a diverse range of marine life, including dolphins, sea turtles, and colorful fish.
There are several hiking and cycling trails that will take you through northern Sardinia's rugged landscape. There are several small villages and towns in the area where you can sample some of the local cuisine and wines. Santa Teresa Gallura is a charming town with a historic centre dating back to the nineteenth century. A large fortress, built in the 16th century to defend against pirate attacks, dominates the town.
The camping is equipped, so you don’t even have to leave the venue if you don’t want to. They have a well-stocked supermarket, a restaurant serving delicious local cuisine, and a bar where you can enjoy a refreshing drink.
However, if you decide to wander around, go to PeMa Ristorante (7 km) or Ristorante da Thomas (6.8 km).
Just 500 meters away you can reach Rena Majore, a beautiful white sand beach with a stupendous expanse of dunes. The crystal clear sea has an incredible variety of blues and turquoises.
In Palau you will find beautiful historic fortresses from the 18th century. The historic center of Palau is very pleasant to spend your evening. The many shops, restaurants and bars ensure a fun day out. You will also regularly find open-air concerts in the Piazza Due Palme in summer. Porto Cervo is the beating heart of the Costa Smeralda. The village has only 200 inhabitants, but here you will find nice exclusive boutiques. The two marinas in Porto Cervo are also worth a visit. Here you can admire the most luxurious yachts or visit the white church Stella Maris where you also have a beautiful view of the marina.
You can take the boat to the Archipelago of the Maddalena, walk on the market of San Pantaleo or explore Costa Smeralda in an off-road car. Of course you can also rent a bicycle, scooter or car at the holiday park to explore and discover the area yourself. Would you like to go sailing for a day? Then you can rent a (rubber) boat at the reception. In addition, the area has plenty of places that are worth a visit. For example, visit the town of Porto Cervo, this is the mecca of the rich and here you will be amazed.
