Camping La Sfinge is located in the captivating Liguria coastal area in Deiva Marina, Provincia di La Spezia. Surfing, diving, and fishing are all available at the beach, which is only 3 kilometers from the campsite; free-climbing on the rock Sfinge is also available. As the natural environment surrounding Deiva Marina combines woods, mountains, and the sea, there are numerous scenic cycle routes. Either you are an experienced cyclist or just an enthusiast. Excursions and boat trips (from June to September) are possible to Cinque Terre, Portofino, La Spezia, Portovenere, Genoa Aquarium, and many more.

If you are an avid sightseer, there are some places for you in Deiva Marina: the old town with medieval buildings, the baroque Church of Sant’Antonio Abate, built in 1730, the ruins of the old castle of Da Passano and the remains of the two old sight towers defending the town from pirate raids.

Besides the beautiful sandy beach of Deiva Marina, there is much more for your eyes on the Italian Riviera. Cinque Terre, a UNESCO Mankind's World Heritage Site, is a collection of five small, lovely fishing villages linked by a hiking path called Via dell'Amore. It is accessible by train rather than by car and is loved by cyclists. 20 kilometers from Deiva Marina sits an Italian fishing village famous for its picturesque harbor, colorful small houses and San Fruttuoso Abbey. 

Traveling a little farther from the campsite, 50 kilometers away, sits La Spezia, with its beautiful marina and harbor. The second biggest city in Liguria also offers great shopping facilities. Near La Spezia, on a promontory, sits Portovenere introducing tourists to an impressive old castle, churches, and the Regional Natural Park, with a unique landscape with its high coasts and caves.

The best airports to arrive at to get to Deiva Marina are in Genoa and Pisa, which are hubs for many low-cost flights. The airports in Milan and Nice can also be good alternatives, even if they are further from Deiva Marina than the Genoa and Pisa airports. Camping is easily accessible by train from any of the airports, but keep in mind that you might need to change trains in Sestri Levante or La Spezia.
